Due to the wide genomic diversity in each species, we can no longer be satisfied with a single reference genome per crop, which provides only a partial, distorted image. Instead, many varieties are relevant to research, with significant differences among them. This is a complicated problem, requiring large amounts of data and an innovative approach based on cloud computing.

While other approaches are transcriptome- or reference-genome based, we begin by constructing each genome of interest de-novo, then compare all-to-all to get the best view of local differences such as SNPs, as well as global changes such as translocations and duplications of whole chromosomic regions. We can even incorporate your existing historical data into the results.
