About us:

NRGene Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of NRGene Ltd., a publicly traded Israeli company (TASE:NRGN). NRGene’s mission is to develop better crops for agriculture, by applying the most advanced genomic analysis technology to accelerate natural breeding (non-GMO). NRGene Canada is based in Saskatchewan and operates as an R&D center that focuses on using NRGene’s technology for local applications such as genotyping and developing new traits in crops and other organisms.

About this position:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Administrative Assistant to supervise the daily support operations of our company and plan the most efficient administrative procedures. A great administration assistant has excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in departmental practices and policies and will be able to actively discover new ways to do the job more efficiently. This position will report to General Manager and the goal is to ensure all support activities are carried on efficiently and effectively to allow other operations to function properly.

* This is an on-site position in Saskatoon, SK, Canada and it is open for Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and legal work permit holders of Canada (No exceptions).

  • Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes.
  • Assist in onboarding staff and allocate responsibilities and office space.
  • Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations.
  • Manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities.
  • Organize and supervise other office activities (recycling, renovations, event planning etc.).
  • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations.
  • Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments.
  • Organizing travel by booking accommodations and reservations needs as required.

Our Ideal team member:

  • High school diploma or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience as an office/admin manager or in a related field.
  • Experience in project management will be an asset.
  • Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
  • In-depth understanding of office management procedures and departmental and legal policies.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Warm personality with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
