General Job Description:

The Project Manager/Computational Biology will be a member of the Genomic Analysis Services (GAS) team. GAS team is the production “special forces” unit in NRGene, facilitating development and utilization of NRGene’s genomic analysis tools to resolve significant challenges for our clients. As a Project Manager/Computational Biology you will play a significant role in “making this all happen” – you will research, analyze, develop, test, and incorporate technologies into actual projects. You will also communicate with the customers about their projects and its technical content.

Main position responsibilities:

  • Design, manage and perform technology-based projects end to end including communication with customers.

  • Explore technologies to enable better performance in existing and future projects

  • Implement and support NRGene’s products for clients

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

  • PhD/MSc in Bioinformatics/computational biology

  • Experience with genomics analysis

  • Coding – mainly R, Python & bash scripts. Additional languages (advantage)

  • Experience with NGS data analysis & population genomics (major advantage)

  • Fast learner, creative and able to work in a highly dynamic environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player!!!

  • Experience in Unix and cloud environments

  • Excellent English skills (speaking and writing)

  • Relevant industrial experience in the field of computational biology/bioinformatics (advantage)

  • CRISPR/Cas9 experience (major advantage)
