We are looking for a highly motivated research technician to join our growing Canadian team.
As research technician, you will take part of establishing NRGene’s genotyping lab and responsible for general greenhouse and growth chambers daily operations.
The research technician will also be involved in a range of molecular breeding focused research projects in the lab and the greenhouse.

Duties and Responsibilities
Involvement in research projects in the lab and greenhouse.
Responsible for greenhouse and growth chambers operations including planting, watering, managing growth conditions (e.g. vernalization), emasculations, crossing, and seed harvest, storage preparation, and sample preparation from leaf tissue for DNA analyses.
Participate in other basic lab activities (e.g. automated DA extractions, PCR preparations)
Skills and Experience
Bachelor degree/Master degree (or equivalent) in life sciences or closely related technical field of scientific research;
2 or more years of experience working in molecular biology research and breeding technique;
2 or more years of managing green house
Willingness and ability to work unconventional hours when required (including weekends, after regular hours and holidays).
