Job description

We are looking for highly motivated research technician to join our growing Canadian team.
As research technician, you will have a unique opportunity to take part of establishing NRGene’s genotyping lab and involved in a wide range of research projects related to lab activities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducting sequencing workflows and equipment platforms.

  • Developing SOPs and laboratory protocols.

  • Performing Laboratory safety guidelines.

  • Accountability for general lab maintenance, supplies and equipment.

  • Supporting ongoing laboratory operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree/Master degree (or equivalent) in life sciences or closely related technical field of scientific research.

  • 2 or more years of experience working in molecular biology research and sequencing technique.

  • 2 or more years of working in laboratory.

  • Experience in setting up a high-throughput laboratory for genotyping/genomics.

  • Experience in applying specialized molecular biology techniques and troubleshooting samples and pro-tocols that are both laboratory experiment and equipment related.

  • Experience in using LIMS, Microsoft office including Word, excel, Power point, email communication and data organization software.

  • Experience in developing standard operating procedures and protocols.

  • Knowledge or experience with laboratory safety, biosafety and decontamination.

  • Willingness and ability to work unconventional hours when required (including weekends, after regu-lar hours and holidays).
